But the dove came right back because it could not find a place to land. Noah waited seven more days and sent the dove out again. This time the dove came back with an olive branch in it's beak. Noah was happy because he knew that the water was going down and they would soon be able to get out of the ark.

Noah sent the dove out a third time, and this time it did not come back. It found a place to live on the earth.
The ark landed on the mountains of Ararat. It had been a very long journey for Noah and his family. A year and ten days went by from the time Noah and his family went inside the ark until they came out on to dry ground.
On the twenty-seventh day of the second month of the following year God told Noah "Come out of the ark with your family, and all the animals and birds."

Noah gave Thanks to God. God was pleased with Noah. God made a covenant with Noah and promised that He would never destroy everything with a flood again. Then God placed a brilliantly colored rainbow across the sky.
